Standards of Conduct

Tapestry Christian University has been established for sincere Christians who are dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ. We subscribe to the highest Christian standards and expect our students to reflect high moral and spiritual standards of living. We endeavor to provide leadership by example.

It should be obvious that alcohol, tobacco, and other forms of substance abuse are beneath Scriptural standards of living. Students must be free from gambling, profanity, excessive anger, and similar behaviors. We expect our students to manifest Christ in their attitude, deportment, and dress.

We urge students to find a good local Church to fellowship and worship God regularly. The Bible teaches us to so live as to never cast reproach upon the Name of the Lord Jesus, or His Church. Our degrees are an honor to you, and likewise, we expect you to be an honor to our School. While TCU Administration reserves the right to reject or expel any student who fails to live up to these standards, we also reserve the right to reinstate such after genuine repentance and a period of counseling and restoration.

Repeating Courses

Students with a grade of “D” in a required course must repeat the course in order to graduate. Students may also elect to repeat a course to improve their grade. When a course is repeated, the latter grade point and credit hours earned will replace the former grade point and credit hours to determine the Grade Point Average.

Requirements for Graduation

A student will graduate and receive their degree when all requirements have been satisfactorily met for their individual program, including final approval from Tapestry Christian University regarding all educational materials, subjects, papers, thesis and/or dissertations, and payment of all financial obligations.

Transcripts

Transcripts contain essential academic data such as grades, courses, credits earned, degrees (with major), and the date of graduation. Official transcripts have the seal of Tapestry Christian University with appropriate signatures, and are available to students who have attended this institution. Official transcripts are available for issuance directly to other colleges or employers upon receipt of written request signed by the student, or upon receipt of an authorized request from another institution of learning. NOTE: Transcripts will not be issued for any student who has not met all financial obligations to Tapestry Christian University.

Confidentiality of Student Records

Tapestry Christian University will keep confidential the scholastic records of current and former students. At its discretion, TCU may provide information such as student name, address, phone number, date and place of birth, major field of study, dates of attendance, degrees and awards received, and participation in official college activities. Students may withhold this general information by notifying the Administrative offices in writing.

Students have the right to review the information contained in their records by visiting the TCU Administrative Office, with the exception of the following: 1. financial information submitted by their parents or donors; 2. confidential letters and recommendations associated with admissions, employment, job placements, or honors to which they have waived their rights of review; 3. records containing information about more than one student, in which case TCU will permit access only to that part of the record pertaining to the inquiring student.

Withdrawal Policy

A student may withdraw from a course or degree program at any time by contacting the college and requesting a Withdrawal Form. The form must be filled out completely and submitted to the Administrative Office. A grade of WP or WF will be placed on the student’s transcript for the courses in which the student enrolled, based on their course grades at the time of withdrawal. If a student leaves during a semester without officially withdrawing, a grade of I or WF will be posted to the student’s transcript. (See Grading System above)
